1. General Shipping Information
Arkansas Redneck Mealworm Farm ships live mealworms and dehydrated mealworms throughout the United States. All orders are packed securely and shipped using the method selected at checkout. We make every effort to ensure your order arrives quickly and in good condition.
2. Shipping Days
To reduce delays and protect live insects during transit, we ship Monday through Wednesday. Orders placed after Wednesday may ship the following week.
- Orders placed Monday–Wednesday typically ship the same or next business day.
- Orders placed Thursday–Sunday will ship on the next available shipping day (Monday).
3. Live Mealworm Shipping
Live mealworms are shipped in breathable containers with enough bedding and moisture to last approximately 10 days in transit or temporary storage. We use wheat bran bedding and an appropriate moisture source.
Heat & Cold Considerations
- During extreme temperatures, we may delay shipping to protect your order.
- If temperatures are below 35°F or above 90°F at your destination, shipping may be held until conditions improve.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the package.
No Live Arrival Guarantee
Due to weather, postal delays, and other variables outside our control, we do not offer a live arrival guarantee on live mealworm shipments.
We pack orders carefully and schedule shipments to minimize transit time, but we cannot guarantee live arrival once the package is in the possession of the carrier.
4. Dehydrated Mealworm Shipping
Dehydrated mealworms are shelf-stable and ship year-round without special requirements. All dehydrated products are sealed, labeled, and protected from moisture during transit.
5. Shipping Costs
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout and depend on:
- Your location
- Order weight
- Selected shipping method
We do not mark up postage costs; rates are based directly on carrier pricing.
6. Delays & Carrier Issues
Carrier delays, weather conditions, holidays, and other factors outside of our control may affect delivery times. We process orders quickly but cannot guarantee arrival dates.
7. Damaged or Lost Packages
If your package is damaged or lost:
- Contact us with your order number as soon as possible.
- Refunds or replacements are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Live Arrival & Delivery Responsibility
Once the package is marked as delivered by the carrier, the buyer assumes responsibility.
Arkansas Redneck Mealworm Farm is not responsible for:
• Packages left outside
• Packages placed in mailboxes
• Stolen packages
• Delivery to incorrect addresses
• Packages delayed due to carrier issues or weather
Temperature Advisory
Live insects are sensitive to extreme temperatures. Buyer assumes all responsibility for temperatures outside:
40°F – 85°F.
During unsafe temperatures, shipment may be delayed for the wellbeing of the insects.
Handling & Allergy Information
Handling insect-based products may cause allergic reactions, especially in individuals with known shellfish or dust mite sensitivities.
Use of gloves and a mask are recommended when handling.
Always wash hands after handling mealworms or bedding.
Pet Safety
Mealworm products are intended for animals such as reptiles, birds, poultry, fish, small mammals, and amphibians.

• Keep mealworms away from household pets when not feeding
• Do not overfeed
• Store in a cool, dry place
Not for Human Consumption
